Josefine Hetterich, MA

Josefine Hetterich is a lecturer and PhD candidate at the department for Film Studies at Goethe University, Frankfurt. Her research interests are feminist, queer and postcolonial approaches to the archive with a focus on critical and creative methodologies that embrace the fabulous, the speculative and the ephemeral. Her previous work on “Fabulous Archiving” has dealt with strategies of (re)writing history in queer cinema, as well as with feminist and queer practices of gossip and zine-making as alternative modes of documentation in which residues of refusal circulate. In her teaching, she is concerned with feminist, intersectional, and decolonial pedagogies and the politics of knowledge production in the classroom and beyond.
